ELT Living Wall with Foam

ELT India has developed a technique in which plants are grown in special Hydrophilic Polyurethane foam in modular and non modular green wall system across India.

With ELT India’s thirst for continuous improvement,, ELT India has started using lightweight Hydrophilic polyurethane foam as substrate for both modular & non-modular Living walls, since Feb 2012. This has given super flexibility to design and re-arrangement of plants. This substrate has a very long life and it is free from soil borne, diseases & pests. ELT India has tested more than 100 varieties for their performance in this substrate.

For growing plants in the modular Green wall system, ELT India has developed a plant sandwich of hydrophilic polyurethane foam, which can be installed in the panel cells/ or any cavities easily. With this technique, changes of seasonal plants in the Green wall system have become very easy. As these plant sandwiches are independent of the system they can be easily reshuffled or changed for a fresh look without disturbing adjacent plantation.

This Living wall system though little costly, has longer life, is lightest in weight,. It has single member substrate, requires less water and it is easy to handle as well as hassle free.

  • Modular system with LW panels of size 30cm x 30cm x 10cm. Can be installed to any size i.e. height & width
  • Can be cladded to wall directly or on fabricated structure
